Description
Immerse yourself in the sea of the magnificent Zingaro Nature Reserve, where wild nature meets crystal-clear waters. Explore the historic Scopello Tonnara, a charming complex of buildings steeped in maritime tradition. Relax on the picturesque Guidaloca Bay, surrounded by majestic cliffs. To complete the experience, we'll introduce you to the authentic flavors of Sicily. A tour that embraces breathtaking views, maritime history, and local culinary specialties.
- We'll depart from Palermo in the morning at 8:00 AM. Upon reaching the town of Castellammare del Golfo, we'll make a stop for breakfast, where you can indulge in 'Cassatelle,' a typical sweet pastry made with ricotta.
- Before reaching the reserve, we'll pause to let you admire the marvelous Scopello Tonnara and its sea stacks.
- You'll be guided to the entrance of the reserve, which you can explore independently at your own pace and freedom.
- Around lunchtime, your transfer will take you to the heart of the fishing village, the Baglio di Scopello, where you'll savor 'Pane Cunzato,' a popular dish made with bread, olive oil, tomato slices, and anchovies. After lunch, you'll have the opportunity to explore the village, shop for souvenirs, or enjoy local fruit.
- Before returning to Palermo, you'll have a 1-hour stop at the nearby Guidaloca Bay, where you can relax and take one last swim in total comfort.
- The return to Palermo is scheduled for 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
TO KNOW:
Access to the reserve is only possible on foot. The trekking to reach the most beautiful bays is accessible to everyone but demanding, as there are very few shaded areas and rest stops where you can purchase water or food. The nearest bay is a 20-minute walk away.
